Dress to impress this Thanksgiving with these chic style ideas

Lots of families have a low key Thanksgiving meal but what if this Thanksgiving is different? Maybe you’re meeting your partner’s parents for the first time or you’re hosting a meal for family and friends. Either way, you want to impress people not just with your home or hostess gift but also with how you present yourself.

When I think of some of the outfits I’ve worn to meet parents in the past, I just want to cringe. Maybe I was nervous or tired but generally I feel that I was too casual for something so important. This guide will give you some ideas of what you can wear to look chic, stay comfortable and look your best.

So, let’s kick it off with a couple of looks. I have pulled together one that is a bit more conservative and not too flashy – maybe you’re heading to a restaurant or sit down dinner – and another that will take you from a family potluck to sitting on the couch watching the football game later in the evening (while still looking a bit glam). The most important thing is that you look and feel comfortable and aligned with the style of the event. You don’t want to look flashy if everyone else is relaxed and vice versa.

Just add Cranberry Sauce

Who doesn’t love cranberry sauce? Move into fall with a color that is bold, beautiful but still a bit bright. You can add a touch of romance with gold accessories or tone it down and keep it serious with black accessories.
